MCBC Cornament 2024

To celebrate our 4th birthday, we have organized a cornhole tournament for our customers to show off their skills. This event will be during our birthday party on August 10th and will begin at 2pm. If you are signed up, please make sure to arrive 10 minutes before the tournament starts. Please see the rules and scoring information below.

Please note, spots are limited. Registration closes August 3rd.

Winners will receive prizes! 1st place, $100 gift card for each team member; 2nd place, $20 in Creek Cash for each team member; 3rd place, $15 in Creek Cash for each team member!

Terms:

• Frame: This is a set of throws where each player will throw 4 bags.
• Woody: This is worth 1 point. When the cornhole bag rests on the board (not touching the ground) at the end of a frame.
• Cornhole: This is worth 3 points. When the cornhole bag passes through the hole at any given point during a frame.
• Foul: When a player passes the line in front of the board before the bag is released from their hand.
• Airmail: When a cornhole is thrown without hitting the board.

Basic Method for Scoring:

• Count the points after each frame (1 point for landing on the board and 3 points for a cornhole)
• Final four games will use cancellation scoring, rather than basic scoring used
  before these games.

Player Rules:

• Players cannot cross the foul line (front of the board) from which they are throwing
until the bag is released.
• Bags cannot be thrown overhanded; they must be thrown underhanded.
• In case of accidental release of the bag once the final swing has been initiated the throw will count as a toss. If the player drops the bag accidentally before starting the swing, then the bag can be picked up and thrown without penalty.

Conditions:

• Please show up at least 10 minutes before the start of the tournament
• We reserve the right to politely ask players to leave if they are being disrespectful or not displaying good sportsmanship.
